ラヴォー・サン・ジャックの真上に位置する一級畑「エストゥールネル サン・ジャック」から造られる1本! 1656年からジュヴレ村の住人であったというこの由緒ある生産者アンリ・マニャンは、ヨーロッパ中の個人のワイン愛好家達やワインショップなどからの注文で毎年完売が続いていたために、品質を大きく向上させようという動機はやや希薄でしたが、2007年からワイン造りに参画した息子のシャルルが、アルノー・モルテやベルトラン・デュガらとの情報交換を通じて栽培から醸造まで多岐に渡る改革を行い、大きな品質向上を成し遂げました。 現地では、ブルゴーニュラヴァーや全世界のワインバイヤーのバイブルと言える雑誌「 Bourgogne Aujourd'hui 」にて、ジュヴレのドメーヌ・アンリ・マニャンのシャルル氏は将来の期待の星として、大きく取り上げられました。ジュヴレ・シャンベルタンの素晴らしいテロワールの表現とアペラシオンごとのエレガントでフィネスに溢れた表現することに一生懸命な彼のワインは、今後さらに輝きを増していくことでしょう。 「ジュヴレ・シャンベルタン 1er エストゥールネル サン・ジャック」は、ラヴォー・サン・ジャックの真上に位置する一級畑。冷涼な気候で、表土が薄く小石の多い土壌からは繊細でタイトな印象を与えるワインが生み出されています。 0.33ha、泥灰土質・石灰岩質土壌、平均樹齢40年のVVからなるブドウを使用。カヴァン社製ジュピーユ、コンピエージュ、フォンテーヌブローの各森産の新樽50%、1～3回使用樽50%で12ヶ月間の熟成。 DOMAINE HENRI MAGNIEN GEVREY CHAMBERTIN 1ER CRU ESTOURNELLES ST. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, quite saline, nice grip, though overall this has a pleasing strictness that leaves you feeling that it will offer more, reveal its true self, with four to five years in bottle.
